Windows Tip: Quick Word Tips

Word iconSplit View – You have a long Word doc and have a need to see parts of the doc, a chart in the beginning of your doc and another chart towards the end and just tired of scrolling and using the mouse? Click View, select Split and position the split where needed.

Tabs in Tables – You have a table and want to add a tab but hitting the tab button just brings you to the next cell. Press Ctrl + Tab in the table cell where you would like the tab placed.

Move Table Rows – You can easily move table rows by selecting the row, press Alt – Shift – Up Arrow or Down Arrow in the direction you want the row moved.

Jump to Beginning/End – to quickly jump to the beginning of a doc, press Ctrl+Home or Ctrl+End takes you to the end.

Thesaurus – There is a built in Thesaurus included in Word. Just select a word and press Shift+F7 to look up synonyms.
