Website of the Month: HelloFax

Brother faxFax machines are slowly disappearing and if you visited your office supply store lately, you’ll be lucky to find one on the shelf for sale. I remember my first fax machine, it was so big and clunky with its own phone and I remember having the darndest time trying to get it hooked up and functioning correctly.

For the past several years, I have been using Accessline.com for receiving and sending faxes and it actually has worked really well for me. If you are a Costco Member, AccessLine is a vendor that has partnered with Costco in offering discounts to its members. Check out Business Services on Costco.com. I have my own fax number and pay a small monthly service charge.

Another resource is HelloFax.com. HelloFax is an online fax and electronic signature service. You simply upload documents, add your signature or other text and then fax them off for free.

They have various pricing plans ranging from a Free Plan, limiting you to a total of 5 fax pages per month to their Premium and Ultimate Plans for those that do major faxing. You also can be assigned your own fax number but this is not available with the Free Plan. For more information, visit www.hellofax.com.

I’ve been using HelloFax for a while now and have been happy. Lots of places still require faxing, so it helps to keep things as paperless as possible.
