Excel Tip: Easy Way to Find Duplicate Items in a Column

If you find yourself always merging worksheets of client data and know that there must be duplicates, here is an easy way to find those duplicate entries.

Select the range of cells

On the menu bar, click on format, conditional formatting

Under Condition 1, select Formula is

In the formula =Countif (column range you are in, cell you are in) >1

Select format and select a pattern of your choice

Click ok
