power cord mess

As I mentioned in the last issue, I have a pet peeve about wires and power cords.  Here are just a few products out there to help you untangle power cords in your life.

A swiveling power strip bends around desk legs. Chunky chargers won’t block adjacent plugs. Pivot power – Quirky $30 – also available at bedbathandbeyond.com

Earbud wires stay tangle-free with this cool spool. Tiny notches secure the ends. Tune ties – Belkin $20/3; amazon.com

Keep multiple cords bundled (and at manageable lengths) with flexible spirals. Wire Snakes, the Container Store $10/2; containerstore.com

Color code and label cords with handy helices (now you’ll know which one leads to the printer) Cable IDs, the container Store $7/8; containerstore.com

Power up everything in a single go. A central hub juices up to 6 electronic items simultaneously. It’s compatible with more than 3,000 types. Chargepod, Callpod from $50.  I own the Chargepod and love it – makes traveling so much easier and no worries about hunting down all those charging adapters before leaving for a business trip.
