Excel Tip: Quickly Add Values in Cells

You are working on a fairly large spreadsheet and you just want to know the total of a certain group of numbers, perhaps of one product available in different sizes or sales numbers for a particular customer. There is a quick way to get the value without having to key in a formula.

Click once on the first cell to select and then Ctrl-click the group of cells you would like a quick total of.

If you look at the bottom of your spreadsheet, in the Status Bar, you will see the sum of those cells highlighted.
