Website of the Month: Backupify

Posted on 11. Mar, 2011 by in Website Resource, Windows Resources/Tips

As Mary mentioned in her blog post above, it is important to utilize a third-party back up system for your online accounts as well as your office computer files. It is possible that data hosted on the cloud could be lost. These are accounts we have no control over.

Backupify is the leading backup provider for cloud based data, offering an all-in-one archiving, search and restore service for the most popular services including:

  • Gmail
  • Twitter
  • Google Docs
  • Flickr
  • Facebook
  • Basecamp
  • WordPress

With one account, you get centralized access to all of your information, stored securely, easily searchable, and ready for restoration or transfer at a moment’s notice.

Backupify has various price plans and their FREE plan will protect your personal accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, and more. You get 2 GB of storage and weekly backups of up to 5 accounts. Their other plans range from $4.99 to $19.99/month. They also offer a 30-day free trial.

Backupify maintains your data archive until you tell them to stop. For free accounts, they’ll keep the archive until you ask them to delete it. For paid subscriptions, they offer a seven-day grace period after a subscription has ended to allow you to download any data you do not want purged.
