MAC Tip of the Month: Open Applications Automatically on Startup

Posted on 14. Oct, 2010 by in MAC Tip

If you frequently surf the web, listen to music, chat with friends and work in email, you may want your computer to open these applications every time you start up. On a Mac, it is very simple to do.

  • Select System Preferences from the Apple menu
  • Click Accounts (in the System row of the Systems Preferences window)
  • Click the Login Items tab
  • Click the + (Add) button
  • Scroll down and click Applications
  • Select, for example, iTunes, and click the Add button

The next time you start up your Mac, iTunes will now start up too.

This also can work for documents if you hae Mac OS X.
