Here are some good sites to check out if you are planning a last minute family getaway this summer. Have a fun and safe trip!

aaa.com – Road Trip Help: Free TripTik planner allows you to customize your route and highlights hotels, restaurants, and nearby attractions.

Away.com – Destination Selection: This site is organized by locale and interest such as beaches, family fun, active and adventure travel.

Gorp.com – Camping Information: Searchable database of over 26,000 campgrounds. Includes photos, amenitites, trails, picnic sites, and other outdoor activities offered.

Nileguide.com – Activity Planning: They have an excellent “Things to Do” feature that has a directory of over 40 US destinations. You can even narrow down your search to kid-friendly or historic.

nps.gov – National Park Visits: The National Park Service website, searchable by state which lists historical and natural attractions plus special events being held at each locale.
