“Woven Together for Life” – this simple phrase holds such powerful meaning to the Longaberger Company. It is a phrase that embodies the spirit in which tens of thousands of independent home consultants, customers, and employees of The Longaberger Company have come together through the annual Horizon of Hope campaign.
Embracing this campaign as an effective vehicle for sharing detailed information about breast cancer and its prevention, The Kennis branch of The Longaberger Company continues its efforts to raise funds locally at their annual luncheon. Last year, nearly $13,000 was raised and donated to The Cancer Concern Center, a non-profit organization that is committed to serving the needs of individuals who are coping with cancer by providing them with a complementary comprehensive health program, including support groups, yoga classes, massage therapy, mediation, nutrition, makeovers, and hair loss alternatives. This year, the funds once again will benefit the Cancer Concern Center which is located in Point Pleasant Beach.
The “In the Pink” Luncheon is being held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 12:00 noon at The Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood, New Jersey.
