Website of the Month: Tiny URL
Posted on 06. Nov, 2007 by Linda in Website Resource
Have you received an email in which the sender included a Web site link that ran to more than one line and you were unable to view when you clicked on the link. You then probably had to cut and paste it together in Internet Explorer or another Web browser in order to open up the link. Well here is a great site for turning those long web site addresses into small and manageable URLs.
Go to www.tinyurl.com. Then copy the long URL into their “make tiny” field, click the button and you will quickly receive a replacement URL. Copy that tiny URL text and paste it in your email. When your email recipient uses the tiny URL, they will be directed to the intended site, with no advertisements, no gateway sites, and no aggravating pop-up screens. Best of all – it’s FREE!
